Care and love Essay
Be that as it may, this is the point at which we negate our early introduction of him being a mindful dad, in light of the fact that no exemplary dad or even gatekeeper will hold up until morning to discover what's up with a youngster. Particularly if past occasions may have been the way in to the endurance of the kid. We first perceive how he treats his little girl, Betty now we see the other duty he ignores, his niece; she is a vagrant and ought to be treated with care and love. Rather he addresses her pledge to the congregation and notes she was ââ¬Å"dancing like rapscallion in the forestâ⬠; this affirms he truly couldn't care less about his own fragile living creature and blood, being a pariah of the congregation in this time was risky: it was the focal point of the network. Haleââ¬â¢s fundamental cross examination technique is to pose driving inquiries; in this manner his triumph of the discussion whether Tituba was a witch or not. Similarly Parris poses driving inquiries to Abigail ââ¬Å"What did you do with her in the forest?â⬠. There is one thing about Parris however when managing minors he generally is totally certain about who should assume responsibility for the conversation.à Parris is very egotistical on various events he discusses himself more than Betty, by ââ¬Å"my enemiesâ⬠and the way that ââ¬Å"they will demolish meâ⬠shows an over response. Getting disappointed over position and overlooking the primary driver of the discussion headed to the point of accepting a ââ¬Å"faction pledged to drive me out of my pulpitâ⬠we see unequivocal difficulties in Parris. The work of a young person approaching womanhood was significant it indicated that you were regarded on the off chance that you turned into a worker back then, Abigail had not been utilized for a ââ¬Å"seven monthâ⬠yet until this discussion he had consistently over-looked the issue and never asked why as to she was sacked.à The Crucible uncovers to us the present day ââ¬Å"tooth for a toothâ⬠, Parris utilizes enthusiastic coercion, when he requests for an issue to be uncovered in support of himself he pronounces that he has ââ¬Å"put garments upon you backâ⬠this suggests the utilization of passionate shakedown for getting something he needs; however dressing your nieces back ought not be an errand. Goody Putnam is the spouse of a well off land proprietor, when she intercedes he shows a certain ââ¬Å"deferenceâ⬠towards her for she is on the triumphant side of the network her significant other is a rich land proprietor. Parris shows covetousness and strive after cash and status, he is effectively ââ¬Å"swayedâ⬠into concurring with the Putnamââ¬â¢s that witches were among them in Salem we get the sentiment of disregarding one self he is a man who thinks he is indicted all over the place, disliked and questioned in the community.à Finally Parris settles on a choice and without a doubt leaves in family over cash and force, he astutely leaves Abigail in a convoluted circumstance by expressing ââ¬Å"then you were conjuring spirits last nightâ⬠he parts with his own kinfolk for force and regard. Mill operators concern is that numerous in power are driven adrift by covetousness. Mill operator needs to have these individuals not in charge of the general population and it is individuals like Parris whom are risky and selfishà Goody Putnam and Parris have comparative status she is a ladies she is hitched to an incredible proprietor. Parris admires her and will think anything, similar to her. So as to keep status.à Goody Putnam is legitimately depicted as a ââ¬Å"twisted soulâ⬠Miller makes us keep a receptive outlook. We as of now get the significance of this. It implies that an individual who not reliable and has experienced so much that they have gotten twisted to the other side of a contention. She has been portrayed as ââ¬Å"Death riddenâ⬠in light of the fact that she had lost all her ââ¬Å"seven babiesâ⬠. Later on we will figure out how and why she acts in such an untrustworthy and crazy way. At the point when she initially shows up with play she is ââ¬Å"shiny eyedâ⬠this offers us the input that she had recently heard uncommon news that Parris little girl had quite recently flown over an animal dwellingplace. ââ¬Å"How high did she flyâ⬠as an inquiry shows clear ineptitude for at that point or now anybody could have worked out for themselves they can't. She shows to Parris that the ââ¬Å"devilâ⬠was directly in front of him and in his family unit for there was a ââ¬Å"stroke of hellâ⬠upon him and the ââ¬Å"devilâ⬠was straightforwardly assaulting him. Goody Putnamââ¬â¢s just little girl is ââ¬Å"sickâ⬠too and has a similar kind of affliction as Betty, before thinking about a clinical clarification she powers an acknowledgment of black magic for the ââ¬Å"devils touchâ⬠was on the youngsters and was no characteristic reason for this illness.à This offbeat numbness was horribly hazardous at that point: There could be a deceitful indictment and someoneââ¬â¢s life would follow through on the cost these are Millers concerns. She does in some reference demonstration like Hale. She is totally ardent as far as powerful causes yet her reasons are not scholarly but rather uninformed. Inside and out we should look why, she accepts she brought forth seven ââ¬Å"hearty babiesâ⬠which recommend they were solid. However, ââ¬Å"witheredâ⬠in her arms. Presently we could have an explanation possibly an uncommon sort blood illness for example. At that point, an absence of science assisted with supporting eccentric ideasà She is so drenched in her convictions to the point that she sends her own little girl, Ruth to hit the dance floor with the young ladies and attempt and ââ¬Å"get closerâ⬠to her past dead children. This is totally a sort of untouchable. Since there is no other asset or clarification for these things at these occasions, the powerful great and shrewdness were regarded: the neighborhood specialist was ââ¬Å"baffledâ⬠in light of the fact that the science was not progressed, not on the grounds that the fallen angel had interceded.

How to Minimize Family Conflict During the Holidays
How to Minimize Family Conflict During the Holidays Stress Management Situational Stress Print How to Handle Family Conflict and Holiday Stress By Elizabeth Scott, MS twitter Elizabeth Scott, MS, is a wellness coach specializing in stress management and quality of life, and the author of 8 Keys to Stress Management. Learn about our editorial policy Elizabeth Scott, MS Updated on February 10, 2020 Purestock / Getty Images More in Stress Management Situational Stress Effects on Health Management Techniques Job Stress Household Stress Relationship Stress The holidays present many wonderful opportunities to bond with family, but this time of year can also present significant stress, particularly when family conflict arises. Some conflict can come from having to decide which relatives to see if any. Tips for Handling Family Conflict and Stress During the Holidays Here are some ways to divide up your time over the holidays and handle conflicts and holiday stress that may arise. Take Turns With Relatives If you and your spouse both want to celebrate with your families of origin, if youre dealing with a divorce situation where not everybody wants to celebrate together or if you just have a lot of family, it can be stressful deciding who to see, and when. Taking turns is an easy solution. If you see one group in November, see the other in December, or alternate years. Then you can eventually see everybody. Host Celebrations at Your House If the stress of traveling each year is more than youd like to handle, you may want to have family over to your home for the holidays. This is also a good solution when you have too many groups or relatives to take turns seeing: invite everyone to celebrate together, and you will get to see everyone more often. While hosting the celebration at your home may not work in every situation, it can help to build bonds between groups of relatives that may not know one another very well. Be Prepared for Some Conflict If you usually have conflict when you get together with your family, its a good idea to be prepared for it. Im not suggesting that you go looking for trouble, but rather, approach the situation with a sense of realism. If your mother always criticizes your appearance or your brother always makes rude jokes, dont expect them to change their habits; just aim to have a sense of humor about it and remind yourself what you love about them. Just Say No to It All If seeing family causes you great amounts of stress each year, its okay to say no sometimes. Celebrating with just your partner or kids can be a wonderful alternative to seeing people who make you feel consistently stressed. Surround Yourself With Friends Many a happy holiday has been formed by groups of people who have decided to celebrate with friends instead of family. Whether youre unable to travel (or have family who is), or for some other reason find yourself without kin, celebrating with other people you know who are also without family for the day can be a great way to bond with friends and enjoy the spirit of the season.

Its Time For a Gay or Lesbian Disney Hero Essay - 2646 Words
The Walt Disney Company is well-known the world over for its magical ââ¬Å"once upon a timesâ⬠and wholesome ââ¬Å"happily ever afters.â⬠Stories like Cinderella, Snow White, and The Little Mermaid all feature captivating tales of beautiful young women who are pure of heart seeking adventure and true love. Disney paints the picture of a strong sense of faith and love, which act as guiding forces that provide access to a lifetime of happiness. Unfortunately, these stories all lack a crucial sense of diversity in todayââ¬â¢s emerging and multicultural world. In the realm of the Disney Princesses franchise specifically, seven of the eleven women are Caucasian. To do this, it is necessary that every aspect of the filmmaking process be inclusive to different identities. For the well-being of the companyââ¬â¢s image and a more positive impact on popular culture and human development, Disney must incorporate the endless possibilities of realistic family values and individual issues into three introductory films that will open the door for more expressive, inclusive films and a more accepting environment worldwide. Although to many the Walt Disney Company may just be a fond childhood memory, Disneyââ¬â¢s media and consumer initiatives transcend national boundaries. The Disney corporation owns or exerts influence in six movie studios (three of which are animation studios), the ABC network (which has 226 affiliated stations), ESPN, and seven other TV channels. They control 227 radio stations, as well as multiple vacation resorts, theme parks, cruise lines, and Broadway production companies. Did African American Participation in the Civil War Change...
The most documented period in the history of the African American search for racial equality comes during the Cold War period, where issues of equality were thrust into international politics. Debatably one of the greatest aids to civil rights was the USAââ¬â¢s promotion of freedom regarding the fight against communism. The intensity of this argument aided the civil rights movement significantly, Dudziak hypothesizing that ââ¬Ëthe fight against communism forced American leaders to introduce key social reformsâ⬠¦ including desegregation, because they were embarrassed about racial relations at homeââ¬â¢, reinforced by Fairclough, arguing that ââ¬Ëracial segregationâ⬠¦ became an embarrassment to Washingtonââ¬â¢. However, much of the desegregation legislation that was passed during this period was prioritized toward the fight against communism, rather than civil rights. This resulted in a blanketing effect, where virtually any political voice who spoke out against the government would have their passports revoked, being unable to speak out against the US government on a national stage, occurring notably to civil rights activist DuBois, Layton commenting that this level of protectionism was ââ¬Ëthe single most costly act of propaganda America had takenââ¬â¢, in regards to its black citizens. Participation in the Vietnam conflict saw the highest enrollment of blacks in American history, 12.6% (Butler, 1999), and was the first fully integrated war unit in combat. How to cite Lord of the Flies, Papers Lord of the Flies Free Essays There are many themes in LORD OF THE FLIES by William Golding. The most evident of these themes is the loss of innocence in the boys. It is continously shown throughout the book that the boys innocence is severly damaged and diminished by lack of civilization which holds toghther the fabric of innocence. We will write a custom essay sample on Lord of the Flies or any similar topic only for you Order Now throughout LORD OF THE FLIES the boys lack of civilization makes them become progressivly cruel and primitive showing the true nature of man. As the boys progress from well-behaved civilized children longing to be rescued to blood thirsty barbarians who only want to kill. hey bring down innocence as well . there are many symbols in the book showing that they have lost there innocence:The killing of simon and piggy, the offering to the beast and the painting of their faces are all showing the rate of the decline of innocence these kids are having. Chapter eight, ââ¬Ëâ⬠ââ¬ËGift for the Darkness'â⬠ââ¬Ë, best describes this theme. The ââ¬Ëâ⬠ââ¬Ëbeast'â⬠ââ¬Ë symbolizes the innate human evil in the children. Simon has a hallucination where the lord of the flies speaks to him. ââ¬Ëâ⬠ââ¬ËThere isnââ¬â¢t anyone to help you. Only me. And Iââ¬â¢m the Beast â⬠¦Fancy thinking the Beast was something you could hunt and kill! .. . You knew, didnââ¬â¢t you? Iââ¬â¢m part of you? Close, close, close! Iââ¬â¢m the reason why itââ¬â¢s no go? Why things are the way they are? â⬠This quote states the ââ¬Ëâ⬠ââ¬Ëbeast'â⬠ââ¬Ë is not something you could hunt and kill. The beast is really the evil in every human soul. At first the boys are afraid of this creature they think exists on the island. As the story continues, they began bringing sacrifices for it and treating it with respect. This exemplifies the boysâ⬠ââ¬Ëâ⬠growing evil. The existence of civilization allows man to remain innocent or ignorant about his true nature. Although man needs civilization, it is important that he also be aware of his more primitive instincts. Only in this way can reach true maturity. Golding implies that the loss of innocence has little to do with age but is related to a personââ¬â¢s understanding of human nature. It can happen at any age or not at all. Painful though it may be, this loss of innocence by coming to terms with reality is necessary if humanity is to survive. How to cite Lord of the Flies, Papers Lord of the Flies Free Essays ââ¬ËLord of the Fliesââ¬â¢ is frequently read as the story of changing identities. The plot gives an opportunity to trace the process, in which several boys turn into savage beasts on an isolated island. These changes do not occur overnight, but are accompanied by a series of profound implications, which make the story extremely realistic and teaching. We will write a custom essay sample on Lord of the Flies or any similar topic only for you Order Now In this essay I will turn my attention to exploring this process of losing identity and ultimate human devastation. ââ¬ËLord of the Fliesââ¬â¢ is the narration about the three identities, lost through violence, savageness, and inner moral conflict. Identity loss as the leading theme of the book The loss of identity among boys and their ultimate moral devastation is the major conflict of the book. Golding was extremely interested in investigating the inner causes and complications of such identity loss. It is difficult to justify these irreversible changes by external conditions in which the boys found themselves, yet for someone this justification may seem possible. The fight between their freedom and self-control has become the biggest challenge the boys had to face. In this fight self-control was tragically defeated, giving place to wildness, cruelty, desolation and violence. The humans are weak under the rays of freedom which are colored with unreason and the desire to hurt. Those boys have become the brightest depiction of the traditional human identity, regularly exposed to temptations which it cannot stand. Ralph and his changing identity ââ¬ËRalph too was fighting to get near, to get a handful of that brown, vulnerable flesh. The desire to squeeze and hurt was over-mastering.ââ¬â¢[1] Ralphââ¬â¢s presence on the island led him to the state when he could not control his premature instincts anymore. The outstanding feature of Ralphââ¬â¢s personality in this story is that he experienced the loss of his identity twice: the first took place when he appeared on the island, and the second occurred after he was elected the leader and could not successfully hold that position. The change which occurred to Ralph could be connected to some magic spell of the island, but unfortunately this change found its reasonable explanation. Ralph was a well-bred and disciplined young boy, but being on an island without any adults significantly contributes into his identity loss. He could not perform the role of the leader and reasonably recognized the difficulties of being without parents. The loss of his leadership identity made him realize his ineffectiveness which he tried to compensate through cruelty and violence. ââ¬ËRalph went for the end of innocence, the darkness of manââ¬â¢s heart, and the fall through the air of a true, wise friend called Piggy.ââ¬â¢[2] The moment when Ralph sees the officer and realizes that his life is saved, becomes the culmination of his devastation: he simultaneously perceives the irreversibility of his change and the power of evil which exists in every human soul. Jack as the symbol of release from former identities Jack is completely different from Ralph; he is not subjected to reflecting upon the despair of his identity loss. ââ¬ËIââ¬â¢m scared of him, and thatââ¬â¢s why I know him. If youââ¬â¢re scared of someone you hate him but you canââ¬â¢t stop thinking about him. You kid yourself heââ¬â¢s all right really, anââ¬â¢ them when you see him again; itââ¬â¢s like asthma anââ¬â¢ you canââ¬â¢t breathe.ââ¬â¢[3] In his identity loss and devastation Jack has gone beyond reasonable measures, making the other boys afraid of him. He has demonstrated his ill nature to the fullest. Through his example, the reader reveals the tragic truth: human evil does not have any measures. The mask which he used in hunting, in reality was ââ¬Ëa thing on its own, behind which Jack hid, liberated from shame and self-consciousness.ââ¬â¢[4] He was unreasonable enough to call for disregarding his leadership, which broke one of the major human principles, and led to disorder and freedom to fight with each other. Piggy: a tragic victim of his identity loss Out of the three major characters, Piggy is the most civilized, and the biggest victim of the identity loss among the boys. This may put a contradictory tint onto the whole discussion: the reader risks thinking that reason cannot lead to any positive outcomes. Yet, this assumption is deceptive. Piggyââ¬â¢s age and appearance (glasses, in particular) turn him into an outcast from the start. His identity is lost through the efforts of others: he is called fatty, and he is mocked on for wearing glasses. These glasses are inseparable from his identity, as they let him watch the world in its true colors. As soon as they are taken by other boys to make the fire, he realizes that blindness and identity loss are synonymic. The loss of his identity has not led to devastation: it has led to his death which made him the victim of those who had lost their identities earlier. ââ¬ËHow can you expect to be rescued if you donââ¬â¢t put first things first and act proper?ââ¬â¢[5] The tragic character of Piggyââ¬â¢s identity loss is that it did not stem from Piggyââ¬â¢s character but was urged by otherââ¬â¢s cruelty. He was the only person who lost his identity through his death. Conclusion The process of identity loss leading to devastation starts from the moment boys appear on the island. They do not display any strivings towards rescuing themselves, but prefer swimming in the lagoon. They hide their faces behind the masks, and hide from consciousness, shame, and reason. Their education is turned into primitiveness ââ¬â the brightest sign of identity loss. Trying to kill the boar and dancing around it in the blood dance is the scene at which transformation into savages and as a result, identity loss is completed. There is no way back towards being civilized. The gradual degradation which all boys experienced broke all connections with their previous world. The appearance of the officer on the island has indicated total devastation of the boysââ¬â¢ moral identity. BIBLIOGRAPHY GOLDING, William, Lord of the Fli [1] W. Jack is only interested in torturing and killing the pig when he ââ¬Å"raised his spear and sneaked forwardâ⬠(135). Just how much one can change because of their surroundings. Ralph believes that now heââ¬â¢s chief he doesnââ¬â¢t have to do any of the hard work and he can make everyone else do it. All Piggy wants is for Ralph to have his back and be his friend. However, Plays being the only voice of reason makes him the weak target. In the speakâ⬠(44). The rest of the boys believe they can push piggy around. The tribes think being on the island is a lot of fun. Piggy thinks ââ¬Å"rules are they only thing [theyââ¬â¢ve] gotâ⬠(91). Piggy Just wants to be friends with everyone, but since they pick on him and Hess so gullible, that canââ¬â¢t happen. He thinks ââ¬Å"the world is slipping awayââ¬â¢ when the boys become something they arenââ¬â¢t (204). Ultimately, the good in Ralph and Piggy comes out do to the darkness in Jack and Roger. Lord of the Flies story line is about a group of British boys stuck on an uninhabited island who try to govern themselves, with disastrous results. The setting takes place on an unnamed island, during a nuclear war. We will write a custom essay sample on Lord of the Flies or any similar topic only for you Order Now The book sets out their descent into brutality, left to them in an exquisite country, far from modern civilization, the well-educated children regress to a primitive state. Ralph, one of the older boys, is the protagonist of the novel who at first is overjoyed to be on a tropical island free from adult restraints. He is neither the smartest nor the strongest but has a kind of quiet charisma and good looks. He tries to keep the boys focused on trained order and the rules of civilization but loses his authority and almost his life to Jackââ¬â¢s, the antagonist of the story, seizure of power. By nature, he is an innocent, mild- tempered boy who accepts leadership when it is thrown at him. He portrayed as a democratic leader who tries to keep the boys together on the island. Ralph has courage when the occasion demands it, but he really longs for the secure world of grown-ups, especially when order starts breaking down on the island. He dreams about a rescue and insists the signal fire burn at all times so that they can be seen. Thereââ¬â¢s conflict. Ralph knows that the main reason for the disorder on the island is Jack, representation of evil in the novel. There is a constant conflict between the two boys. Ralph stands for civilized ideals, while Jack leads a tribe of savages and lapses into primitive rituals. In the midst of the savagery, Ralph holds on to rationality and the hope of rescue. There is only one occasion when Ralph lapses into mild savagery; it occurs when he joins the ritual dance at the feast, the same feast where Simon is killed. The guilt that Ralph experiences as an outcome of his being a part of Simonââ¬â¢s death is unbearable. It forces him to totally accept the fallen nature of all mankind. Armed with the truth, like Simon before him, he becomes the hunted animal, full of desperation and despair. Only civilization, which appears in the form of the naval officer, can save Ralph from the savagery that surrounds him. For example, William Golding uses his characters in the novel ââ¬Å"Lord of the Fliesâ⬠to symbolize Biblical ideas. In chapter 1 when the plane crashes with the choir boys, Ralph removes his clothes and bathes in the water, which shows an act of Baptism. Baptism is something that happens so your sins can be washed away. Also the snake thing being referred to all the time in the book can relate to Satan in the garden of Eden. Satan often described himself as serpent. But unlike Adam Eve the boys from the plane crash were mistaken about the creature. They were even unable to recognize the danger of evil within themselves that propels them to violence. Such as torturing the pigs in such a cruel way just to satisfy their hunger. Ethics. Ethics are a system of moral beliefs. We will write a custom essay sample on Lord of the Flies or any similar topic only for you Order Now Ethics are what can destroy a society or make it a better place. Usually everyone in a society has a different view on ethics, and view differently form what is right or wrong. What this means is that everyone does not have the same ethics because people view ethics differently. I contribute to the continuance of our free democratic- republic/society through my belief in honesty, hard working, and trustworthiness. Honesty is one of the beliefs that I believe is a very important value that someone should have. I came to believe in this value because I see that people who are honest can fit into a well working democratic-republic/society. I contribute to society by using honesty is by being honest to everyone and not lying about who I am. ââ¬Å"ââ¬â¢ Integrity is telling myself the truth. And honesty is telling the truth to other people. â⬠ââ¬â¢ What I like about this quote is that it is showing what some people truly see honesty as, and that is not being true to other people. In the beginning of Lord of the Flies, they have to create a set of rules in which they have to live under. ââ¬Å" Weââ¬â¢ve got to have rules and obey them. After all, weââ¬â¢re not savages. Weââ¬â¢re English, and the English are best at everything. â⬠This quote is showing that you have to be honest towards the rules or else society (or the group of children0 will become savage. Also throughout the book you see them slowly ignoring the rules, and while they do that they become more savage and savage. Overall I believe that honesty is a very important trait to have if your trying to function in society because it will help show who you really are as a person. I think that being hardworking is one of the best traits that a person can have. When I came to believe that hard working is one of the best traits a person can have is when I studied our founding fathers. If they wouldnââ¬â¢t have been hardworking then we might not be here today. I contribute this trait to society by being the hardest working person I can be. ââ¬Ëââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢ A dream doesnââ¬â¢t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢ This quote is showing that with out hard work or determination dreams cannot be achieved. It is also showing that if you have a dream, that magic wont help. Only hard work and determination will get you there. In the book Lord of the Flies, piggy is very hardworking person and contributes to the island. ââ¬Å" Piggy wasâ⬠¦ so full of pride in his contribution to the good society, that he helped to fetch wood. â⬠This quote shows that Piggy is a hard working person and there fore fitted into his society. Although people made fun of him he was still one of the harder working kids on the island, which shows his determination. In conclusion a hard working person can function in any kind of society. Trustworthiness is a valued trait in any society. I came to believe in the value of trustworthiness is because I have always like people who I can trust. How is use trustworthiness in my everyday life is by having people put there trust into me. ââ¬Å"ââ¬â¢ Trust underlies the foundation of civilization. â⬠ââ¬â¢ What this this quote is saying that trust is the basic foundation of our society. With out trust our society would not be the same it is today. In the beginning of Lord of the Flies the children selected ralph to be their leader. ââ¬Å" All this I meant to say. Now Iââ¬â¢ve said it. You voted me for chief. Now you do what I say. â⬠This quote is showing that the boys have put there trust in Ralph. I believe this because if they didnââ¬â¢t trust him then they wouldnââ¬â¢t have picked him for their leader. Also I believe that in every society we choose our leader because we have trust that he will make the right decisions. With out trust in our society we will have nothing to rely on. In conclusion a trustworthy person is always going to function in society. In order to function a society I believe you need to be honest, hard working, and trustworthy. It seems our society is works very well. You may ask yourself why it works so good. The reason is people follow these common beliefs. I fit into our society because I view those three traits as the ethics on how to fit into a functioning society. Some people may portray the ethics of our society different from one to another. But I believe that if you folly my 3 traits you can function in any society you want. A honest, hard working, trustworthy person, is a person I would love to have in my society. How to cite Lord of the Flies, Papers Lord of the Flies Free Essays In this essay, I will talk about the key points that led to the loss of civilization. ââ¬Å"We did everything adults would do. What went wrong? â⬠-William Gilding, Lord of the Flies The first point, I would like to introduce Is Jackââ¬â¢s Impact on the community. We will write a custom essay sample on Lord of the Flies or any similar topic only for you Order Now Jack Is a very strong individual, who believes that If you canââ¬â¢t solve a problem, you should Just avoid it. As well as that he Is the oldest and the strongest, which In theory should make him sensible, despite that, he chooses not to support rules and senselessly. ââ¬Å"Jackââ¬â¢s face swam near him. ââ¬Å"And you shut pulp Who are you, anyway? Sitting there telling people what to do. You ant hunt, you canââ¬â¢t sing?â⬠ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m chief. I was chosen. â⬠ââ¬Å"Why should choosing make any difference? Just giving orders that donââ¬â¢t make any senseâ⬠Now it is quite obvious, that Jack represents an autocratic government, where power is taken; and Ralph represents democratic governments, where power is given. Moreover, Jack understands mob mentality, and uses physical examples, of tortures to threaten other savages. As a result of Jackââ¬â¢s actions, mob mentality starts to grow. Mob mentality, happens when individuals, act as a group. Therefore, they try to hide their personality, which makes them free of all laws and obligations. An example In the book would be how the savages, attacked Rallyââ¬â¢s shelters and they werenââ¬â¢tââ¬â¢ even sorry for a bit, but If adults wouldââ¬â¢ve been thereâ⬠¦ ââ¬Å"Someone was throwing stones: Roger was dropping them, his one hand still on the lever. Below him, Ralph was a shock of hair and Piggy a bag of fat. â⬠William Gilding, Lord of the Flies. To Roger, it is literally indifferent, who Ralph and Piggy are. To him, they are Just a ââ¬Ëshock of Hairââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Ëa bag of fatââ¬â¢. It is impossible that Roger would have pushed the lever, if adults were there and Jack wasnââ¬â¢t. This is how mob mentality influences the people. It can also be seen, when all of the characters are present at the killing of Simon. Another important factor, responsible for the loss of civilization, is the death of Simon. It can be described as the watershed moment, because after that they arenââ¬â¢t afraid to kill. If he was regarded as the ââ¬ËBeastââ¬â¢, killing him didnââ¬â¢t stop the boys being scared of the ââ¬ËBeastââ¬â¢. ââ¬Å"We was [was were] on the outside. We never done nothing, we never seen nothing. â⬠[Salad Ralph] Lord of the Flies, William Gilding. Ralph tells Piggy; hide the fact, that they were both present at the murder of Simon. Ralph is still ashamed that they hadnââ¬â¢t stopped the savages. Above all, darkness and evil of humanity affected the boys, the most. Gilding, himself fought in the WI and saw Hiroshima, AS concentration camps and much more; so he really understands what mankind is capable of. ââ¬Å"Maybe there is a beast What I mean isâ⬠¦ Maybe itââ¬â¢s only us. â⬠Lord of the Flies, William Gilding Simon and Piggy achieve same-but-different conclusions. Piggy has rational, external, empirical attitude, saying: weââ¬â¢re afraid of each other. Simon has a more spiritual believe: itââ¬â¢s not each other we need to be afraid of, but us. In Lord of the Flies, Gilding expresses the real side of the human-beings. ââ¬Å"What a man does defines him, not what is done by others. â⬠William Gilding. To conclude my essay, those were the main points that influenced the loss of civilization: Jacks impact, mob mentality, murder of Simon and the darkness evil of humanity. Those arenââ¬â¢t all the point that affected it. I personally didnââ¬â¢t like the book- I think it was boring. ââ¬Å"The writer probably knows what he meant when he wrote a book, but he should immediately forget what he meant when heââ¬â¢s written it. â⬠William Gilding How to cite Lord of the Flies, Papers Lord of the Flies Free Essays Daniel Santana Mrs. Caston English CP9, Period 1 6/6/12 Essay for LORD OF THE FLIES When man is taken or is separated from civilization, man can become primitive. In the novel Lord of the Flies, William Golding addresses what happens to man when they are taken out of civilization. We will write a custom essay sample on Lord of the Flies or any similar topic only for you Order Now The book begins with a plane that is filled with British school boys that crashes on an abandoned island. Since there are no adults with them on the island, the boys are forced to create their own civil society which slowly falls apart throughout the novel. In the novel Golding states that the boys are becoming uncivilized when they talk about the beast and what it is, the murder of Piggy, and the hunting of Ralph. One way the boys are becoming less civilized is when they start to fear that there is a beast on the island. For example Golding writes, ââ¬Å"In a moment the platform was full of arguing and gesticulating shadows to, Ralph, seated, this seemed the breaking up of sanity. Fear, beast, no general agreement that the fire was all importantâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ (88). This shows that the boys have lost their sense of worldly reason of the world and their fear has now created the ââ¬ËBeastââ¬â¢ that roams within the sea. It also shows that they have so much fear that they have no agreement to have the fire keep going so they can be rescued. Later in the story the children chant, ââ¬Å"ââ¬ËKill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood! Do him in! ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬ ¦The beast was on its knees in the center, its arms folded over its face. It was crying out against the abominable noise, something about a body on the hill. The beast struggled forward, broke the ring, and fell over the steep edge of the rockâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ (153). This shows that they boys are overcome by the fear of the beast they turn to a primitive state to deal with this fear and they kill the beast without knowing it was Simon. This act shows in their rage against the beast they donââ¬â¢t hear Simon as he tries to tell the boys there is no beast while they are stabbing him. These quotes clearly lay out how the boys become more savage like from their fear of the ââ¬Ëbeastââ¬â¢ on the island. Another way that the boys were becoming uncivilized is when they murdered Piggy. For example, once the boys break into two tribes, ââ¬Å"Jack had backed right against the tribe and they were a solid menace that bristled with spears. The intention of a charge was forming among themâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ (180). This shows that they are becoming uncivilized because when Piggy is talking heââ¬â¢s saying that if it is beater to be savages than having law and order the hunters are about to attack them. Also it shows that Jack and his hunters have converted to savagery. In addition Golding describes the murderess act, ââ¬Å"High overhead, Roger, with a sense of delirious abandonment, leaned all his weight on the leverâ⬠(180). This shows that Roger has no reason for what he is going to do, heââ¬â¢s acting on impulse. Also its shows that they have lost everything that is good to man and now they have become savages. These examples demonstrate the extreme loss of a civilized behavior. Another example of the boys becoming less uncivilized is when they and hunt Ralph so they can kill him. For example Samneric are talking, ââ¬Å"I dunno. And Ralph, Jack, the chief says itââ¬â¢ll be dangerousââ¬âand weââ¬â¢ve got to be careful; and throw our spears like at a pigâ⬠(188). This shows that the boys have no sympathy for taking a human life. Also it shows that the boys are going to hunt Ralph as if he was an animal. In addition Ralph talks to Samneric and continue to explain, ââ¬Å"ââ¬ËWhat are you going to doââ¬â? From the top of the towering rock came the incomprehensible reply. ââ¬ËRoger sharpened a stick at both ends,â⬠(180). This shows that the boys have no lost their sanity and now they are complete savages. They transposed from having law and order to being savages so they can kill Ralph. In conclusion, the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding illustrates the boyââ¬â¢s loss of civilization. When the boys talk about the beast and fear it, they become less civilized because they would stop at nothing to kill the beast and push back the time of being rescued further. The death of piggy illustrates the boyââ¬â¢s loss of civilized behavior because they have no remorse for taking the life of a human being. The have completely lost their civilized behavior because they hunt Ralph and they would stop at nothing to kill him cause he is seen as a threat to Jacks new, wild society. When human beings are taken from society over time they will become savage like and lose reason for what they do. How to cite Lord of the Flies, Papers

In addition, he also wanted prove to the staff that his students had would it took to ace the exam. He never once doubted his students. Jaime had the best expectations on his students. To conclude, my view about teacher student relationship does matter because it is very important for children. Children spend approximately eight hours a day with a teacher for almost ten months. We ask ourselves what is considered a good teacher. All of us have gone through schooling, and if fortunate had a favorite teacher. A positive relationship between the student and the teacher is difficult to establish, but can be found for both individuals at either end. The qualities for a positive relationship can vary to set a learning experience approachable and inviting the students to learn. A teacher and student who have the qualities of good communications, respect in a classroom, and show interest in teaching from the point of view of the teacher and learning from a student will establish a positive relationship in the classroom.
